We offer the following types of tutoring session:
Standard sessions: These sessions are run weekly and are based on stage and
subject. They offer the best result in both confidence and progress from the consistency
of attending tutoring on a weekly basis. They also offer the best value for money. We
offer three types of standard session: one-on-one; two-to-one; and small group
(maximum 5 students per tutor). We require a 4 week notice period for cancelling
standard tutoring sessions. Our standard tutoring starts at $50 per week for Stage 1
small groups.
Flexible sessions: Our flexible sessions are run 3 times a week, including Saturdays.
Flexible sessions are only available as small group tutoring, with students grouped into
Primary student and Secondary student sessions. Flexible sessions must be booked at
least 48 hours in advance and have no lock in commitment. You can book as frequently
as you like, and there is no notice period required to cease tutoring. Our Flexible
sessions have higher fees compared to our Standard sessions, starting at $65 per
session for Stage 1 students.
Private sessions: Private sessions are run at a time and day that suits you, and are
offered in-centre, online, or in-home. Our Private sessions are subject to tutor availability and start from $120 for 60 minutes. There is no lock in commitments or notice periods to cease tutoring with our private sessions.
We’re selective about our team! All tutors undergo thorough interviews, reference checks, Working With Children Checks, and training. Many are qualified teachers or education students with classroom experience and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
Absolutely! With parental consent, we provide regular updates on student progress and happily align our learning plans with school goals. We’re all on the same team!
We typically recommend tutoring for students who are:
- Finding certain subjects challenging
- Needing a confidence boost in the classroom
- Seeming disengaged or reluctant to participate
- Ready for extension beyond the standard curriculum
A friendly assessment helps us identify specific needs and create the right learning plan.
Science tutoring sessions run for 45 minutes for primary school students (K-6) and 60 minutes for high school students (7-12).
Most students attend weekly 45-minute sessions for primary school or 60-minute sessions for high school, with the option for additional support during exam periods or when tackling challenging topics.
If your child is struggling to understand scientific concepts, finding it difficult to connect theory with practice, or needs additional challenges beyond what school provides, science tutoring can be beneficial.
Mathematics tutoring sessions run for 45 minutes for primary school students and 60 minutes for high school students.
